a snippet.

Musical happenings create models for thought. There is a style of music, a group of collective singing where new notes are produced that are not sung initially by any one of the singers in the whole group. This group of singers, through singing together in a drone like nature, create ‘extra’ notes, which could not be possible without this “team” of singers. Thus bringing a social-like model of thought into this musical phenomenon. There is a concept of community gaining ‘extra’ or new aspects to the group as a whole. It seems that music “affords” structure, but can it be said to “give rise” in and of itself, to ideas about social organisation?
